AB Italian & Pizza Restaurant

I really, really love their Gyros. Im from NY and miss the Gyros from actual Greek; this comes close. It's a nice low key spot with fresh food. And the owner is very handsome with a grey streak in his beard, so that helps!

ABs was a terrific restaurant but they are no longer open at this location. I believe they are still in business but after damage from Hurricane Florence they just moved the restaurant to their gas station location off of Hwy 421 a few miles past where Hwy 421 crosses Hwy 53 on the left. The Buffalo Chicken Calzone they had when they were in Burgaw was hands down one of my favorite dishes of all. That's not just considering this area, that dish was one of my top 10 favorite meals of any I have ever had anywhere period. That's also not factoring in the fact that they priced is so cheap that if you factored the value into that top 10 list it would easily be in the top 3. Excellent food at an affordable price. My favorite thing to get is actually their cheeseburger. It's $5 and it is a huge, handmade, juicy patty! Great family restaurant with something for everyone.

Favorite Italian place around! I always get the Stromboli because it’s too good to pass up.
