99 Restaurants

My Son wanted to take his parents out for dinner, and we chose 99 because it is within walking distance from his house. Alysa was our server, and she was friendly and efficient. I had the salmon entree, my husband had a salad with grilled chicken, and our son had their steak. All were plentiful, delicious, and reasonably priced. They even offer a 20-ounce Bud Light draft for $3.50! What a deal!!! The place is clean, and their bar is large with multiple TVs.

We have noticed that the quality has gone down and the price goes up. Steak tips- our usual order for take out. They used to be delicious and full of flavor, now they are fewer in number but $31.00 for 6 pieces and all I taste is an overwhelming salt and pepper flavor. The tips I ordered were supposedly “smothered” with onions and mushrooms “ . I would say a sprinkling of mushrooms and onions! I think this is the last time we go here. I’m hearing good things about Champions in Peabody.

Lunch 3/4/26 Had the Country Fried Chicken with Gravy, Mashed potatoes, broccoli, cranberry sauce and broccoli. Was delicious. Chicken was moist and very crispy. Great Service too.

We ate here the night before our wedding because it's across from our Air BnB. We are from Maryland and never heard of thus chain. We were very impressed! The restaurant is clean. The staff was very courteous, especially our server Cate! She is just so sweet! The food was amazing! Chicken pot pie, ribs ans shrimp, and petite desserts. We will definitely be back when we come back to Salem!

We are visiting tourist we haven’t had great service until we came in to eat since it was right across the street from where we are staying. We had Wayne as a server he said he was a bartender but does a serving shift occasionally. He was amazing very attentive, friendly and just overall amazing. We made sure to tell him that he was the best server we’ve had since we’ve been here. The food was great with big portions. Will definitely be back before we leave.
