Customer Reviews
I recently had the extraordinary opportunity to dine at 788 Omakase Table, and it was nothing short of a remarkable culinary journey! From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the holistic experience that transcended mere dining. Every dish was a revelation, not just for the palate but for the mind and spirit as well. With each course, I felt a profound connection to the ingredients, learning about the respected species that were part of my meal. The presentation was stunning, transforming the table into a feast for the eyes as well. Chef Johan, along with Rafael and Monroe, exhibited exceptional expertise and warmth. Their passion for their craft was palpable; they welcomed us like family while sharing insights about the sake and wine pairings and the sustainable sourcing of their
Overall great food and chef, but we left with a little bit of a bad feeling after getting the bill - enough so, that we won't recommend to others. We were ready for 150 pp cost, and cost of extras (drinks and extra sushi). What was upsetting was them offering a different beer that "wasn't on the menu yet" then being charged $20 (when every other beer was around 10 bucks). And them pushing a whiskey on to my wife (suggesting a taste after my wife mentioned the pretty bottle and liking Japanese whiskey when walking by the display) then charging $34 for a single serving. Again this was off menu, not something we actively asked for, and not in line with the rest of their similar menu items. Just felt skeezy the way it happened. If items aren't comparably priced then say so. Even the wate
Incredible food and vibe, and the service is fantastic. We ate here for our anniversary, and it was easily the best dining experience I've had in my entire life. Every dish was its own little pocket dimension of flavor and I was smiling cheek-to-cheek for every single course. Chef Johan and his staff nailed the service: they kept the atmosphere warm and relaxing while the service itself was expert and clearly very well practiced. The staff in particular did a wonderful job keeping the mood light - I think my partner and I were both surprised by how disarming and friendly the experience was from start to finish. It felt like being in a friend's home and being treated to a meal. And Chef Johan himself was so personable! We found it very easy to talk with him about the food and its origin an
WE love Omakase Table and Ryokou so we were excited to try NEKO which features creations from both restaurants. While NEKO may seem a little less polished than the other two restaurants on paper, it is still one of the best omakase spots in Atlanta. We had a very small seating of 4 people total. This allowed for very intimate and personalize service. The staff was absolutely amazing and made our anniversary a one of a kind experience. What make this spot stand out is the lack of formality. At some other high end omakase spots in Atlanta it feels like you get a rule book up front and sub standard service if you do something wrong. At NEKO you are treated like family or an old friend. You walk through the door feeling accepted and are treated to some of the best bites of sushi Atlanta has
We’ve loved Omakase Table every time we’ve been. The fish is such high quality, the atmosphere is elevated and sleek, the staff are professional and friendly, and Chef Johan is incredibly talented. We’re pescatarian, and they accommodated our dietary needs seamlessly. Having eaten a lot of sushi in Atlanta, we can confidently say that Omakase Table is at the top of our list.
