19th St Bay Beach

My four year old daughter loves going to the beach, but is afraid of waves. This beach is within the port, so it is quiet doesn’t have waves, is very clean, and is less than a minute walk from Marina Park. It was our first time coming here, but we will certainly be back. My girls had a blast! Oh and I was able to relax while watching them. Winning.

Clean, friendly locals, a few homeless sleeping on the beach, great place for a quiet out of the way beach. At least on a weekday morning. First time at the beach for a bengal cat.

Great little park if you don’t mind being on the harbor side of the beach. Advantages: less people, no waves.

Great place to launch SUP or kayaks. Paid parking is right up against the beach for easy access & short distance to carry your craft. Shower stand allows for easy rinsing. Restroom facilities nearby at the playground. Easy paddling to circle Lido Island, head up into the Back Bay, or over to Balboa Island.

Great place to watch the boat parade crowded but plenty of space for everyone to sit and relax. There is a sour smell of boat exhaust but otherwise clean and friendly
