1878 Riverrun Bed and Breakfast

Tailor-made for bicyclists riding the C&O or WMRT. Our stay was virtually-hosted, yet the communication, instructions, and signage made everything really easy and straightforward. The bike storage area is secure and has pumps and tools for minor bike maintenance. The kitchen is self-serve and loaded with options (see photos). There is a free washer/dryer and a wonderful upstairs sitting/living room. There are a few good restaurant options within walking distance as well as a bike shop and a 24/7 Sheets. The house and rooms are modern and clean and they have the softest towels ever. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

We found this lovely B&B to stay at after we discovered a local bike shop would shuttle us to two locations to help us complete two more sections of the C&O canal. We used this B&B as a base. It was the perfect stopping point for both days, with comfy beds, spacious rooms, and fluffy (and extra) towels. The dining area was very well supplied with multiple choices for breakfast and snacks (both refrigerated and pantry). Evenings were spent in the upstairs common room playing cards and relaxing. We were glad to see the bike storage area (and hose to wash off the trail dust). Strongly recommend this for anyone who is visiting the area for any of the recreational opportunities.

One of the best places to stay on the C&O. We've been here twice and just love it! It's immaculate, very well stocked with foods/drinks for cyclists or hikers and very comfortable. Sid and Quell always answer their phone, answer questions and are very easy to deal with. My husband and I stayed there in September and came back in October. We are slowly cycling the C&O Canal and highly recommend staying here!!

1878 Riverrun Bed and Breakfast was such a pleasant accomodation for us! The location just off the trail is so convenient and allows for beautiful views. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. A bonus for us was meeting a kind couple from Vermont who were biking the entire C&O Canal. We enjoyed visiting them over breakfast in the dining room. This added to our pleasant experience!

1878 RiverRun was an amazing place to stay while we biked the GAP and C&O canal trails this October. The rooms and kitchen were well appointed and organized. There was a separate locked area with pumps and tools to securely store bikes. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. We will definitely stay at this location again and highly recommend!
