1842 Daily Grind & Mercantile

I planned us visiting them the morning of our stay in Cedar Key, and they did not disappoint! 👍 The food and service were both amazing! We ended up going and buying a cooler and ice coming back and buying some grass-fed beef from them as well. 🙃 I did not see that coming 😏when I planned a romantic anniversary weekend away from Tampa, But now we have healthy, delicious, bacon and steaks to eat back home.

Stopped in and got a hot caramel macchiato with whipped cream and an egg and cheese sandwich on toast. The macchiato, sandwich, customer service, and atmosphere were top notch. You know it's Christmas time when you walk in here and they do the same for all seasons. From the decor, window displays, vinyl music playing in the background, and the smile's on the owner's and baristas' faces got my day started off on the right foot. Thank you Ben and Jess! We stopped for a coffee and cake. Both delicious. Cafe is quite small, and seats not especially comfy (for older people!) Service was friendly and efficient. Everything seemed clean.

Staff are super friendly! Food is super yummy. My only regret is that I waited 16 years to try the frozen chocolate covered keylime pie. I miss years of pure sweet delight!
