I finally visited this new restaurant and I have to strongly recommend their Braised Beef Knife Cut Noodles! From the first bite, I was blown away by the tender, flavorful beef that melted in my mouth. The savory broth was perfectly seasoned, making every spoonful a delight. The knife cut noodles had a wonderful chewy texture too. And the portion was generous. Highly recommended
I’m a big fan of Shaanxi-style food, and the biangbiang noodles at this place did not disappoint. The noodles are very fresh and well-cooked, with just the right amount of chewiness. The chili oil and garlic was fragrant and delicious as well. My one gripe with the dish, however, is that the noodles are cut much thinner than what is typical for biangbiang noodles. Had the noodles been cut into thicker pieces, this dish would have been all the more tasty. That said, I would definitely recommend this place — the noodles are legit for sure
Loved the food here. A variety of dishes made with knife cut noodles. Intimate seating made for a cool evening dinner.
Flavor, price, quantity all on point - everything you want to see from restaurant. Hand-pulled noodles are bouncy and soak up a buttery broth, meat is tender and melts in the mouth, portions are large with a free noodle refill. Absolutely a 6/5 and one of the best spots to eat in Berkeley for lunch or dinner.
They apparently just opened today. I got the bell pepper beef noodles. The noodles themselves were good; they were springy and very clearly handmade. The beef was tender as well. Finally, the sauce wasn’t bad at all; if they used oyster sauce they used a good one and/or didn’t use too much. Service was good too; I think I wasn’t super clear with the order and they gave me the wrong thing, but when I explained the situation they were super apologetic and quickly made the one I wanted. The portions were also generous; I don’t mind a place that costs about $20 with tax and tips when it’s enough to leave me very full, which what I ordered absolutely did!
