Zio’s casa di dolce

I couldn't find any bakeries that made cinnamon buns with raisins in it.i live in south merrick and so happy I went to Zio last week. The service was great and they put aside for me til I was able to get there.i grew up in Manhattan and buns on Sunday was an Italian Ritual and Zios buns were delicious. I pass alot of bakeries between merrick and Zios location but it was well worth it.The buns were excellent. Thank you so much.Sincerely Steven

This is a large bakery with a wide assortment of bread, cakes, and cookies as well as pastries. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They offer non-traditional ST Joseph pastry fillings and sicilian style items like cartoucci. The cakes are skillfully decorated and there were many to choose from.

I tried Zios casa di dolce the other day. I will be honest, I got hooked watching their Facebook reels- watching all the baking of the breads, cookies and cakes and of course all the kitchen shenanigans going on. Walking in the front door for the first time was a little underwhelming. It was empty of customers, cold and all the perimeter shelves were empty. The floor cases were full with cookie, cake and pastry items but the wall shelves had no breads, rolls etc. I ordered an Americano with some whole milk and 2 pieces of Carrot Cake for my wife and daughter. The young lady behind the counter was trying her best but I got the feeling she wasn’t well versed with the espresso machine. A nice bakery with a wide selection of delicious options from Sweet treats, to artisan Breads, and loaded BEC Sandwiches. My BECSPK on the Prosciutto roll was stacked with bacon and this bread creates a great bite. Their Pretzel buns are top notch, the same buns that BlueBird Kitchen uses down the street and for the right reasons, we made amazing burgers at home with these buns and I wouldn’t choose anything else. Staff inside was friendly and lots of options including their last Sourdough Loaf of the day were still available even around 12:30-1pm.

WOW! This bakery is amazing. Everything is super fresh and they have a large selection of practically anything. They also make bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches on the most delicious bread rolls with pancetta.
