We had a pleasant lunch in Ann Arbor at Zingerman’s Delicatessen. The food was extremely fresh and well prepared, with generous portions and great flavor. I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, which was crisp, well dressed, and tasted very fresh without being overly heavy. My partner chose the classic pastrami sandwich, and it absolutely delivered—tender, flavorful meat with high-quality bread that made it feel like a true deli staple. We also shared a couple of sides, including the chipotle chicken pasta salad and the oranges and beets. Both were excellent additions to the meal and complemented the main dishes well. Everything we tried was very tasty and clearly made with quality ingredients. Service was quick and efficient, making it an easy stop for lunch without feeling rushed. P

There are places that get famous and then coast. Zingerman's is not one of those places. I went in with expectations that had been built up by years of hearing about it, and somehow it still exceeded them. The deli has been open since 1982 in the Kerrytown neighborhood of Ann Arbor, and by now it feels like it's woven into the actual fabric of the city. Which is to say walking in feels less like going to lunch and more like going somewhere that matters. The space is part store, part deli counter, part controlled chaos. There are ordering kiosks now, though staff are nearby if you have questions, which is good because the sandwich menu alone could take fifteen minutes to parse. The ingredients are listed on every item like they're proud of them, which they should be. Everything is sourced i

A med tech from UpfM recommended Zingermann's when we were visiting and we're glad he did. The place has loads of character and charm, it combines the best of quirkiness and a timeless college town vibe. Tons of sandwich choices, we got the corned beef as well as the turkey, both recommended by a regular. Loads of meat and cole slaw and cheese on toasted and buttered rye. For some reason the large is like $2 more than the small; go large and bring the rest home. Worth the trip to Ann Arbor.

Oh man. The pulled-pork sandwich is such a bomb. It's my first time visiting US and this sandwich alone makes me want to visit Ann Arbor again. I don't usually write food reviews but wanted to express my appreciation. Thanks for the delicious foods!

It was a little chaotic, but that seems to be their vibe. The deli counter was crazy busy, but beautiful presentation of delightful cheeses, meats and bread. Ordering was fun using their screen and very helpful staff for questions. Our two corned beef sandwiches, bowl of chicken broth and matzo ball soup came out fast. Finding a table was easy. The food was delicious! Large hunk of rye bread came with each soup. The sandwiches were stacked high. Our meal came to around $70 with tip. Looking forward to returning.
