⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Had dinner tonight at Zhā Zhā Niú in Flushing, and it truly hit the spot. We ordered their signature spicy beef hot pot, and the broth was rich, aromatic, and layered with deep chili and peppercorn heat — bold but not overwhelming. The beef was tender and absorbed all that flavor beautifully. Every bite had that comforting, slow-building warmth that keeps you reaching for more. The sauerkraut fish pot was another standout — perfectly balanced between tangy and savory, with silky fish slices that were incredibly fresh. The broth had a clean acidity that made the whole dish feel vibrant and addictive. We also tried their specialty fried rice, which was fragrant and well-seasoned without being greasy — simple, but done right. And the house-style fried dough sticks were crispy o

very good hotpot!! The restaurant’s interior design is very distinctive and instantly makes you feel like you’ve arrived in Chengdu, really enjoyed the traditional pickled mustard hot pot base the addition of celery adds a fresh aroma and a refreshing taste! Especially liked their large fried dough sticks and beef offal pot. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be back, and I hope they will open a branch in Philadelphia!

Zhazha Niu’s Herbal Beef Bone Hotpot is amazing! The broth isn’t spicy but full of flavor, and the beef is super fragrant. I even enjoyed the celery, which I normally don’t eat. The beef cuts are tender, the marinated beef offal and kelp sprouts are a nice surprise, and the spicy roasted duck adds a flavorful kick. The restaurant has a lively, cozy atmosphere, portions are generous, and it’s perfect for a holiday meal with friends. Highly recommend!

The sour soup base was tasty, but the minced meat portion was noticeably smaller. The crispy pork and the wide noodles were good, but there were very few noodles—mostly bean sprouts. The duck had a strange smell and didn’t seem fresh; I only took one bite. The service was also quite inattentive. No one came to refill the soup or proactively ask if we needed anything. The attitude wasn’t rude, but there was a lack of service awareness. For two people, it was about $110 with tip. I used to really enjoy this place, but it feels like the quality is changing. I hope the restaurant can improve and continue to do well long-term.

This place has a really distinctive style—especially the way they serve “zha zha” beef over rice, which feels unique and satisfying. I also loved that they incorporate Sichuan-style pickled vegetables into the hot pot, showing a flavorful side of Sichuan hot pot beyond just the classic numbing-spicy profile. The selection of food is extensive and everything we tried tasted fresh. It’s a great spot to order a variety of sides and sample different combinations and flavors. The space also has a fun, creative design vibe, making it a nice place to eat and take photos at the same time.
