Zeppe's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard - Syracuse

I normally don't have an issue here but this time we ordered two of the special chocolate covered strawberry gelatas and both of them did not taste of strawberry and had a massive taste of coconut which I absolutely hate. Not sure if the workers just used a red colored flavor but it taste more of tigers blood and they use vanilla custard instead of chocolate. So completely not close to what it is supposed to be very disappointed. Hopefully better next time.

Stop here for dessert. Been to other locations not this one. It took our order quickly and the food came out quickly. Had a lot of bugs that night. So we didn't stay too long in the sitting area. The custard was excellent and has it has been at any zeppe's location. The owners of the establishment have set up the credit card payment system so that the person taking your order tells you there's a question you have to answer. They turn the tablet around and you have to decide how much you want to tip. I don't generally tip for something that I order while standing up. I'm sure the workers do a great job but the job requires them to put ice cream in a cup at hand it to me.

We come to this location often and generally don't have any problems. We stopped by this afternoon and the young man at the drive through apparently has not been trained and was asking questions on what flavor of custard we wanted in our gelata which we have never been asked before so in trying to clarify what he was talking about he got very belligerent and started yelling so we just drove off.

Beautiful location. Cheerful staff. Delicious Italian Ice. I got a kids' ice, 1/2 Cherry, and 1/2 Margarita. Wonderful texture. Paradise in a 6 oz cup. Perfect size for a quick, lite treat.

This place is so much fun! It's a nice, modern Italian Ice spot that is very clean and new! The treats were super yummy! I got the Sunset Splash Gelata and my husband got the Tiki Italian Ice. The flavors were so amazing! We were both pleasantly surprised. Definitely a fun little place with great service.
