Zeppe's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard

We enjoy Zeppes when we go to Lagoon and now we are so happy Zeppes is nearby! So many yummy flavors to choose from. Cotton candy is our favorite. We tried the churro donut and it was soft and flavorful. So delicious! It is a nice replacement for the churros we used to enjoy at Costco.

We had such an amazing experience tonight! Kudos to the owner for training their staff so well to be fun, attentive and kind. And of course thank you to the employees who made it such a great night! Not to mention the gelata… oh. my. gosh. Honestly one of the best treats I’ve had in a while. The mix of amazing flavor (my fave was the Tigers Blood) and the creamy custard was to die for. Then I went back and got a big soft pretzel… heaven. So much butter. It was soft and just perfectly heated. We will be back very soon!!

Only tried the custard so far: classic chocolate and vanilla, plus a few creative flavors. The taste is similar to custard from Culver's or Andy's. Things they can improve: 1. Their salted caramel custard is too subtle. 2. They need more variety in toppings. 3. A smaller size concrete option would be great. The current size is honestly more custard than is healthy to have in one sitting.

It pains me to give a 4-star review because Zeppes is one of my favorite treats… but the service here feels really inconsistent. We came on a Friday night and the employees were great — super friendly and even offered us a water cup. The very next day we brought friends back, and the experience was totally different. The attitude felt off, and we were told there’s “no such thing as a water cup,” but we could buy a bottled water (and they only had one left). It made for a pretty awkward interaction. The Zeppes in Saint George and Springville both offer free water cups, so the inconsistency was confusing. Still love Zeppes — just hoping for a more consistent experience next time (and water with my sweet treat would be GREAT). 👍🏻

After first taste I wasnt excited. Once I finished I realized I really like it. My next combo will be Italian coconut ice with vanilla ice cream.
