Cozy, local, and always welcoming! Great outdoor seating, a cute atmosphere full of books and games, and the best locally roasted coffee from Northbound Coffee Roasters. Perfect spot for families, game nights, or relaxing with the Sunday paper. One of my favorite local gems!

Very unfortunate experience. The cashier / barista was unfortunately rude and un-becoming. Took my mother out for a phenomenal morning adventure, starting with us looking to enjoy one of our favorite memories together and that was the Zepher Book Store, from years ago. No lines, general but sincere initial greeting. Went in and asked for a Cortado Cafe. Nothing crazy- initially he was kind enough to express that he knew the coffee option, but when asked he was able to make it by pouring the shots of espresso into the cold milk with a single raw sugar packet and then steaming it together. (our favorite way of enjoying the cortado- enjoyed as standard from other areas in the country) Our barista begrudgingly made the cafe for us. Our Cartado's were as tepid as his newly formed interaction

Zephyr Books & Coffee ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I visited Zephyr Books & Coffee in Yreka on 4/23/25. In addition to serving Northbound Coffee Roasters from Mount Shasta, they have a menu of deli foods and baked goods, all are which are made in house. They also have a good selection of used books, as well as brand new books that are region specific. Barista Zach was very friendly and helpful. He made me an excellent Mocha. If I lived in or near Yreka, Zephyr is the kind of place I would become a regular at. Highly Recommended!!!

Great coffee, kind folks, lovely space. This will be our go-to stop next time we pass through town.

A great place to relax with a book and munch on seriously yummy sandwiches, backed goods and yummy yogurt. Course I was running to work, but knowing it was there for others was soothing. I had other things and tasks on my mind that are equally soul strengthening.
