Zeman's Old Highway House

Tried Zeman's tonight based on a recommendation from a local in the Wisconsin Dells. Our experience was fantastic and we will certainly be back! The traditional fish fry with a cold beer was top notch!! I recommend giving the pan fried walleye a try! Flavorful and tasty fish all the way around! We had the crispy Brussels sprouts as an app and they are a must. The horseradish sauce makes the dish!! Can't beat $2.50 rail old fashioned either! Diane took care of us during our meal and she was the best! Helpful and informative and super pleasant! Great job!! We had a great experience in a very warm and comfortable surroundings in the dining area!

Started the dinner with a bowl of chili . The wife had the salad bar. Both excellent. For dinner the wife had grilled salmon, a loaded baked potato and green beans. The salmon was flavorful and perfectly done, as was the baked potato and green beans. I had the prime rib sandwich and chippers. The sandwich was excellent especially when dipped in the au ju. The chippers also excellent. The drinks we had were perfect and wait staff is the best. Keep up the good work in the kitchen Timmy and Rusty.

Great friendly service 😊 Nice salad bar & delicious fish fry. We had fried cod & shrimp. Can't wait to go back & try the burgers!

My girlfriend Ashley and I came there November 1st 2025 for food and drinks. We were pleased with everything! She was overly ecstatic about the whole place and the vibes of it. The food was amazing, the drinks were great and the atmosphere was the best part. We stayed at the hotel next to the restaurant to go hiking at Devils Lake and if we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come again. I visited this establishment to furnish my lady companion with a beefsteak. We were not disappointed. Service was on point. Portions were decently large. Quality was excellent. I do wish that I had availed myself of the salad bar. Perhaps next time.
