Zara's Restaurant

I recently visited Zara’s Restaurant in New Jersey, and I’m still thinking about how delicious everything was! If you’re craving authentic South Asian flavors, this place is a must-visit. We started with the Lahori fish, and it was phenomenal—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and perfectly seasoned with that classic Lahori spice profile. The barbecue was equally impressive: smoky, juicy, and packed with bold flavor that tasted like it came straight from a traditional grill. The fresh garlic naan was another highlight. Soft, buttery, and loaded with fragrant garlic, it paired perfectly with all the dishes. And the star of the meal was the chicken karahi—rich, aromatic, and bursting with authentic Pakistani taste. I think we were too hungry and ordered too much but everything was delish! From Kebab platter to Charsi Chicken and mutton karahi … Yumm Our attendents were polite and accommodating. We ended with a small candle on gulab jamuns to celebrate a friend birthday! Oh and the ras malai and falooda was to die for!! This was perfect to eat before attending an incredible concert in Trenton!

This is the place to go to if you’re craving authentic Pakistani cuisine. We had samosas, dahi puree, chicken karahi and biryani everything tasted perfect along with mango lassi and garlic naans. Not to mention tawa rotis which reminded us of our home. Ended our meal with a refreshing hot karak chai. Zara Aunty & Shahzad Sb were an amazing host!

Very nice restaurant! Authentic Indian Cuisine. The location of this restaurant is hiding it's potential. I believe this to be a hidden gem in the area! The food was flavorful and the serving sizes were plentiful. The price is a bit high though. No goat dish should be $40 and not come with sides.. 4 Kabobs, Mutton Karahi, Basmati Rice and Masala Chai and I'm paying $80! Very expensive for a lunch.. It was good though..

It’s a really nice and clean place, food was really tasty and my family and I enjoyed it a lot. The Lahore fish was splendid. The staff was super helpful. The interior was cozy and the ambiance lovely. Bathrooms were spotless too. Highly recommend.
