Zakir's Bakery Sweets & Restaurant

I live near Jersey City but it's worth the 40 mins drive. Love their food special in Ramadan they have all the fried goods layed out ready to go! This like my 5th time coming here. The Bengali Cha is good too!

Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food is excellent. Reminds me of Bangladesh town in the Bronx. Vegetable samosa (singhara) needs some salt. Chicken patty (puff) needs more filling (hardly 2 small pieces of chicken in them. Chicken biryani was delicious. Tandoori chicken was good as well. None of them were served with condiments (sad). The best of all is the Chai, it was spot on. Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Upon arrival the cashier didn't greet or welcome, however, the server was welcoming. The server was able to speak in English and Hindi which was nice. He was patient and answered all the questions. On purpose I asked the server to pack different things randomly to see his service and he was impeccable. Good customer service. Loved the taste of fresh deshi halal Food, courteous behavior. Indeed a busy store, but fast service. Roadside Parking was easy to manage. The price is very reasonable and a big portion of the serving.

Good place to buy cooked Bengali food and sweets. Their items include biryanis, roast chicken, beef and fish dishes. Prices are decent.
