Customer Reviews
This place is incredible! The ingredients are fresh and and perfectly balanced. Portions are very generous as well. We ordered the beef stew, spicy beef udon stir fry, mint beef, and grandma’s potatoes. Everything was delicious!!
I had an amazing experience at Yunnan Kitchen—definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and felt authentically Yunnan. The Coconut Delight Stir-Fried Pork Ribs with Mint was unforgettable. The ribs were tender, juicy, and perfectly coated in a creamy coconut sauce. The fresh mint added a bright, refreshing layer that balanced the richness so well. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it! The Xuanwei Ham & Potato Rice was another standout. The aroma alone was incredible, and the flavor did not disappoint—comforting, savory, and deeply satisfying. The ham was rich and smoky, and the potatoes soaked up all the delicious flavor. It’s one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after finishing it. The service was warm
I never expected to find Chinese in the South End this good! We got the shredded pork, potatoe cake, wings, and the clay pot rice. Food was served promptly, servers were friendly and attentive and never rushed us, the atmosphere is a perfect date night or family night out. It feels like a warm cozy bar-like restaraunt. I can not wait to come back to try a vegetarian dish.
Had the mint beef: very minty and flavorful. A little spicy. The braised chicken was very crispy and well marinated. Pea jelly (cold): Not my favorite as the jelly texture wasn’t what I expected. The chili oil with peanuts was really good though!
I had an amazing meal at Yunnan Kitchen Boston and highly recommend it! The Paoluda was refreshing and perfectly balanced, the steam pot chicken was incredibly flavorful and tender, and the crispy mint pork ribs were fragrant, crunchy, and absolutely delicious. Great food, authentic flavors, and definitely worth trying!
