Yumsem 얌샘 김밥

Always drove by but never stopped in until today and will def be back. The tteokbokki is SO good - the texture of the rice cake is so fresh, chewy (mochi-like), and seasoned perfectly. Ive never had rice cakes this chewy and fresh in NJ/NY before!! So pleasantly surprised. I saw some reviews noting they only received half a boiled egg with their order - this is pretty standard when you order tteokbokki. It’s honestly more for garnishment and visuals. The spicy tuna kimbap and spicy pork kimbap was also delicious. Will def be back omg

Kids wanted to try this one and I can see why. A lot of younger kids here and apparently it’s popular amount the HS crowd. Doesn’t mean that it doesn’t cater to everyone but I wanted to see it for myself so here we go….. Firstly, and I think very importantly, it’s easy on the wallet. Anytime that happens it’s a plus for me. Quality is also important but it’s a fine line between what a person can sacrifice in terms of quality FOR the more affordable price point. I’m glad to say it’s a good balance. Kimbop $5 rolls were great. $8 sandwiches… yes please. The menu gives you a variety of fresh items that are super wallet friendly and really tasty. Affordable casual food that tastes great & unique. My favorite are the Korean toast & huge tonkatsu. All the kimbap are all good as well.

If there is anything you need to order here, it’s their Katsu Sando. You won’t regret it.
