Customer Reviews
Tried the Houston location recently and was pleasantly surprised. Most people recommend the spicy beef soup, but the Bossam was actually my favorite. The pork was tender without being greasy, and it had more flavor than the typical plain boiled style. Paired with pickled plum and fresh cabbage, it felt balanced and clean rather than heavy. the beef rib was also good. The beef tasted fresh and didn’t have any gamey or bloody flavor, which I really appreciated. I also liked that they used kabocha squash instead of potatoes. We ordered the pork cutlet as well ,very large portion. The flavor was decent and straightforward, probably a safe choice for kids. They offer a lunch combo from 11am–3pm where you can add a small portion of Bossam or dumplings to your main dish, which seems like a go
Visited Yukdaejang Houston for my birthday and had a great experience. The restaurant is bright, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The beef spicy soup was rich, flavorful, and comforting, with generous portions of tender beef. The cold noodles were surprisingly good — very well-balanced and refreshing, even better than some I’ve had in Seoul. We also tried the bossam and the grilled beef patty, both well-prepared and satisfying. Overall, quality ingredients and solid execution. Would definitely come back.
I was drawn to their buy one get one free deal. I would say the beef soup is tasty with a good portion. They were out of the blood sausage that afternoon. However, my friend and I did feel very thirsty afterward, probably due to too much MSG added. Overall, it's a place worth trying out.
I wasn’t expecting much, but the food here was incredible. Everything was super tasty and bursting with flavor. I’ve traveled to Korea and still search for authentic tastes like this. This is a hidden gem; I’ll definitely be back to try more.
This place is definitely worth the drive. Great food and service. Parking is a bit limited. Price is affordable. Get the purple rice for sure.
