Yoshinoya

Shrinkflation seems to have hit this Pasadena location. The $10 (including tax) cost of an original beef bowl is ridiculous.

Shop smelled like rancid oil. Took beef bowls to go. The meat was 100% strips of fat. The rice was crunchy and oily. Made my car smell like rancid oil. Never had anything like it from Yoshinoya. I’m going to put it in the freezer and return it when I’m in the area next week. It was absolutely disgusting!

I’ve always loved Yoshinoya and it’s consistently delicious at every spot I’ve been to. I ordered their Thai tea boba, large beef bowl, clam chowder and egg rolls. The boba was descent but had a different flavor aftertaste. The large beef bowl was delicious along with the clam chowder and egg rolls. The same signature flavors and tastes on all of their items here. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items. Parking can get crowded on peak times.

I came in during the morning, the opening shift team served good food and the restaurant is clean and nice atmosphere. Thanks to the opening team and the guy in the front

Honey walnut shrimp and short ribs meal. Ribs weren't bad but only got 4 pieces. Honey walnut shrimp felt undercooked, batter was still soft inside. Rice and veggies were OK. You have to pay extra for the shrimp and short ribs. Will consider just getting the original beef and chicken next time. Didn't have to wait too long but I wouldn't have minded waiting longer for better cooked food
