Yosaku Japanese Restaurant

Casual Japanese restaurant with delicious sushi and a variety of entrees. As an appetizer, we shared the delicately fried shrimp tempura which had a whisper-thin batter that enveloped the succulent shrimp. For my main, I had the Chicken Terriyaki. This was a generous portion of tender, juicy and flavorful chicken that had a delightful texture and taste. If you're looking for delicious Japanese food at a reasonable price, then this is the place to be.

I ordered chicken teriyaki to go. I ordered there sat and waited for my food. It can out relatively quickly. I drove 7 min back to work. My food was cold. The chicken cold the miso soup cold . The rice luke warm. Absolutely disappointed.

Terrible experience. We did not go out for sushi to be berated and embarrassed by the servers. This was our family's first time dining at Yosaku. We have been looking for a sushi restaurant in our neighborhood and was hoping Yosaku could be a frequent family dining destination. Instead we were publicly called out by our servers for not finishing our food. Apparently it was happy hour where certain nigiri sushi items are $2 per piece. There is only one sushi menu - the kind you fill out with a pencil. One side is nigiri and the other side are rolls. Yosaku does not have a comprehensive menu of all their sushi offereings. For example, we asked for uni (sea urchin) and ikura (salmon roe) that was not listed on the menu. Our server Thung had to look up the price of the items on a com

Amazing sushi place, the happy hour pricing is great and the service was phenomenal. The sushi itself was well prepared and delicious. We sat outside on the patio and we were checked on frequently which was appreciated. Definitely the best sushi I've had in DC in quite a bit, and pretty affordable too.
