Date of visit 10/14/25 Went for lunch during work. It can get very busy. At the time of visit there we're only 2 workers. 1 cooking the ramen and the other guy taking orders and making bubble tea and serving dine in and take out orders. They have a lunch special you can get an entree and a drink for about $16 and change. Not bad considering Manhattan prices. Soup was a bit thick to my liking. Ramen was so so, not super great but not bad either. Good spot for lunch or just a quick place to eat. Inside is clean and there is a restroom for customers. Recommend for lunch during winter especially if you work in the area.
I was expecting a small ramen bowl but what I received was a big, tasty bowl with all the toppings one could want and Boba drink. The pork was tender and the noodles were cooked really well. The lunch special is well worth it and this was a happy surprise. I gave 4 stars for atmosphere cause it could be decorated a little better but still a quaint and quiet place to eat, nothing to scoff at.
The images draw you in and once the dishes are served, they appear almost exactly as pictured. Unfortunately, the food did not taste as good as it appeared. I am actually quite baffled by how the food’s aroma was appetizing yet so tasteless… The curry chicken katsu don had almost no flavor. The curry definitely could’ve benefited from more seasonings, and the chicken didn’t seem properly marinated. The plain breading didn’t help either, making the blandness even worse. As for the chicken karaage with rice, it was almost inedible. The grilled chicken had an overpowering, gamey chicken flavor that was unpleasant and overly poultry-forward. Grilling alone is not enough to add flavor. Overall, it wasn’t disgusting in comparison to some other spots and the staff were really friendly.
Cute little ramen shop off of 2nd Ave! Tasty ramen and Gyoza took me back to my travels in Japan. Definitely will be going back again.
Ordered the tonkatsu ramen (mushroom was slightly bitter), its alright for a quick bite and would recommend getting it during the lunch special hour before 3pm for a cheaper price. Nothing crazy in terms of flavor.
