Got their spicy bone broth hot pot last night—so good but, wow, it’s not kidding around with the heat. My nose was running within minutes, lol. The broth is rich and comforting, like they really took their time on it, and the toppings were fresh. It’s perfect for one person but would’ve worked for sharing too. Price felt fair for how filling it was. Oh, and they packaged everything for takeout super neatly, no mess at all. If you’re into bold, punchy flavors, this place hits the spot.
I didn't realize there is a YGF near USC campus until my Chinese friend told me about it. The location is a few stops on Dash F. The food is as good as other YGF. It's priced by lbs. The stock is full when I went. They always restock the ingredients. The restaurant is a bit small but it's packed with seatings. It's self-service. Very delicious!
If you love spicy food, this place is a must-try! YGF Malatang serves real, authentic Asian-style spicy hot pot that’s super popular among young Asians. If you’re not afraid of heat and want to see what’s trending in Asia’s street food scene, this is the spot. You’ll often see groups of young girls ordering tons of meat and laughing over steaming bowls of malatang — it’s such a fun vibe. The food is priced by weight ($14.99/lb), and they even deduct the bowl’s weight before weighing, which makes it super fair. The soup base is free, and the staff are friendly and efficient. For reference, if you cook at home, slices of meat usually costs around $4–8/lb, so the price here is reasonable. I usually spend about $20 for a full meal, including a bowl of rice (only $1 and refillable!). Plus, ther
This malatang place is amazing! The broth is rich and flavorful, spicy but not overwhelming. All the ingredients are fresh, with a great variety to choose from, and the portions are very generous. The staff are friendly and the food is served quickly. Definitely a place I’ll keep coming back to!
Warning : Spicy food!!! If you dont like or cant take spicy, becareful trying this place, this place has Mala spice which is not only spicy but create numb sensation on your tongue! I ordered the beef bone broth for my hotpot, its really good. They weigh the meat and vegetable per pound, not expensive. No service here, you clean up after yourself. This food is perfect for a cold weather. Other good thing : they close late.
