Yates Center Public Library

No ramp or wheelchair entrance. There is about 10 stairs total to enter. 78 degree day and I could not stay as long as I wanted to look for books or videos. No open windows, no fan it was pretty warm in there. I was fanning myself and mentioned it to the girl at the desk. She just replied uh-huh. Another lady came and the girl told her it was warm in there and she replied: but if we turn on the AC we'll get cold. I thought maybe so but to have a fan for air movement or a window open etc would help greatly. I would of liked to of been able to stay. The gazebo outside does have a ramp but how could a disabled person get into the building to get books? They also didn't have a series on DVD I wanted and I'd have to wait a week min for it.

Our community library is a beautiful Carnegie Library with a cozy atmosphere and plenty of space to browse, relax, and take in the historic details of the building. Head downstairs to find a delightful children's area with a whimsical, full-wall mural and small stage area for make-believe and story time, as well as tables and plenty of nooks to settle down with a good book or participate in Summer Reading Program activities. For a small town library they do their best to try and keep the best selection of popular, trending, classic, and historical literatures and other media types. If there is something they don't have just ask and their friendly staff will try and locate it for you.

A beautiful library on the outside, when we got there it was closed. There was an awesome gazebo.
