My husband and I tried 3 different Chinese food places in Manchester, 1 in Vernon, and 1 in South Windsor. Our standards are based on China Garden in Hartford that is absolutely peak. This place was the absolute best compared to the other 4 places by far. We got gen tso chicken, fried rice, eggroll, and crab rangoons. The rice actually had veggies like peas and carrots, was flavorful and looked exactly like fried rice should. The chicken was surprisingly actually spicy, meat was tender, and sauce was tasty. The crab rangoon filling was so tasty and the outside was crispy and light, like the little crispy things you get to put into soup. My only complaint was that the eggroll wasnt very flavorful but duck sauce fixes that quick. (I was gonna eat it with duck sauce anyway). This is my new C

!!!! Shun Cheong in Windsor, CT should be your first choice for Chinese food!!!! but if you’re in a rush this place will do. Just make sure to ask lots of clarifying questions about what’s in the actual food because it’s not always consistent. Customer service has always been trash but the food would generally make up for what they lack in common courtesy. Except for today, when the front lady who always takes my order tried to gaslight me saying I got what I ordered (the shrimp with Chinese Bokchoy) because apparently “every shrimp platter comes with mix vegetables”. When I asked why is there “shrimp with mixed vegetables” as an actual item on their menu, she acted like she couldn’t understand me. Would not admit they made a mistake, remake the order, nor provide a refund.

Im willing to drive 20 minutes from home because this is the best Chinese food I've ever had! This is my second time ordering from here. I got the sesame chicken with veggie fried rice and a small beef lo mein. The chicken has this wonderful crunch to it and the sauce is so delicious. The rice is cooked to perfection. And the lo mein is soo good and more than plenty for a small. This Chinese food is so good that you can reheat it the next day and it'll taste just as good as it did fresh! The flavors are fresh and its probably the only Chinese restaurant that hasnt made my stomach hurt after eating it. Totally worth the money!

I frequent this restaurant for lunch as it is close to my job. What keeps me returning is the friendliness of the staff. I am always addressed by name with a warm and friendly greeting. I have also witnessed staff going out of their way to serve others well. A big shout out to Sunny as well! She’s great. Thank you for the delicious food as always!

This was my first and likely last time eating at this restaurant. I found the Chinese restaurants you really can determine the quality food by the appearance of the restaurant. Very visually unappealing, very poor city like appearance. The food I did not like. Fried chicken wings were like southern fried chicken with an Indian spicing. The boneless spare ribs were dry and covered in a way too sweet sauce. The chicken fingers or decent but not much meat. I went there because of the ratings, and despite the appearance decided to eat there anyway. That was bad judgment on my part. I would avoid
