Yamato japanese steakhouse & sushi

This restaurant is a gem!! The food was absolutely delectable and very affordable, I was very impressed. The portions we got were fantastic for what we paid, and the staff was very attentive and very kind. The sushi was to die for. A great experience for a small restaurant. I can't wait to be back

This place is wonderful. Food is always fresh and taste great. The employees are always professional and caring and always make you feel at home. Prices and good as well. No complaints. Highly recommended.

Be careful not to place online orders. They can not refund you!!!! I placed a take out order of 60.00 and it was the worst Yamato food we have ever had. We usually go to the one in florance but thought we would try the one in Cynthiana. The Hibachi chicken had no flavor at all and some of the sushi we ordered was very Bland. Very disappointing!

Kind of a strange environment for the type food advertised. Appears the building is an old Pizza Hut restaurant. I ordered a sushi plate (started eating before I remembered to take a pic so the pic is a partial of my meal!). My order included onion soup and a side salad, which I requested ranch dressing for. My dressing was forgotten after being told she'd bring it right back. My 3 friends finished their salads before I even started. Asked a couple of times before finally getting it! It was not worth the wait! Very watered down and just not that great! Soup was excellent as well as the sushi. Service was lacking and server seemed very unconcerned with getting items requested. 2 friends accident sent their forks back with their salad plates and were given plastic forks for their main course
