It is relatively clean and fun to eat lunch at, yet lacks space to swim for a few. No boat launch for anything larger than a canoe. A good place to smell the lake.
Nice little beach with shallow swimming area for kids. Grass and sand areas for relaxing.
It's a fun beach to take my boys :)
Today the water was crystal clear. The beach has also been pretty clean from seaweed. There has been someone other than the city raking the weeds from the shore. It seems that Mound only does it once every other week. It's a nice place to go relax and cool off. The water isn't very deep but it's pretty weed free in the swim area. 10/30/23 The swim buoys have been removed, so if you go swimming, make sure you keep an eye out for boats. It was a great summer for swimming!!
Its small. And I wont swim in this lake. But its a great spot to take in a sunset or eat lunch with the pup.
