The most amazing ramen I’ve had in Portland! We got the #2 and the broth was insanely tasty, it had so much umami and flavor, the amount of pork was great and cooked/seared to perfection and the egg made it even more delicious. The thin noodles work so well with the dish too. The indoor dining area is super cute and cozy, as there are not a ton of tables, which is nice though. The staff is so nice and kind, we will definitely come back very soon!!
Had a great time at Wu-Ron’s! Ordered the spicy ramen and enjoyed every bite! Not too spicy for the average person but added great flair to an already excellent broth. And that doesn’t even cover the ingredients. Though ramen is a simple dish, Wu-Ron’s has turned that simplicity to an art form. The facade is a bit unassuming, but the interior is a delight. The size makes the restaurant give off a cozy feel. They don’t have a large staff, so food can take a bit to get to you but it is certainly worth the wait. Good for both individual diners as well as small groups.
Highly recommend this authentic ramen spot! We tried the signature tonkatsu ramen and the spicy chicken ramen, and both were excellent. The tonkatsu came with thin noodles, while the spicy chicken had thick noodles, both types had that perfect, authentic texture. I honestly couldn’t choose a favorite, they were both so good! The tonkatsu broth was rich, creamy, and deeply savory which is classic and comforting. The spicy chicken broth was lighter, with just the right amount of heat and a touch of sweetness. I loved both and even added an extra portion of noodles! The chashu pork belly deserves a shoutout, it’s so tender, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth good. I couldn’t stop thinking about how satisfying it would be to have a bowl of rice with it too!!! The broth came out piping hot, so if yo
I was recommended by a friend saying this is the go to spot for ramen. I got the nagahama tonkotsu ramen. We paid for extra meat in one bowl but it was totally worth it. The char su was so tender. It was sooo good I wanted to order some more to take home for later. I honestly think it was very affordable and so worth every $$$
****THIS PLACE GETS BUSY**** Wu-Ron’s gets super busy so the earlier you arrive the better. There’s an alright amount of seating. When you get there you put your name on a list outside and then wait for them to call your name. There is plenty of parking so that part isn’t an issue. We started with an order of karage. It wasn’t crunchy, but the meat was flavorful and tender. I ordered the #3 with an extra side of noodles. This was my favorite broth that I’ve had so far. Broth so good it makes you rethink your life choices haha. My guess is the butter made it more rich and flavorful. The pork belly was tender and delicious. Only regret, not ordering an antijama (marinated egg) with it. My friend ordered the #5, It was bold, savory, and full of traditional flavor. I got to try her egg whi
