Wrong Side 812

Wrong Side 812 is exactly what a dive bar should be. Rough around the edges, nothing matches, the food is greasy pub fare, and the beer list is pretty much “whatever’s cold before the keg kicks.” But that’s the charm. This place (and more importantly the people inside) doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not. It’s loud, chaotic, full of character, and unapologetically real. If I wanted clean lines, sterile decor, and subpar drinks, I’d go to Applebee’s. But when I want to sit in a room with three different kinds of chairs, eat a burger or hotdog that drips onto the wax paper, drink whatever cold beer they have available, and pay ten bucks to support a local metal band? Good place to see some local metal / hardcore shows if you're an Indiana resident and don't want to have to cross the bridge. Great food, although a bit pricey. The wings with wrong sauce are 🔥🔥 If you're an elder emo there's a pretty good cover band that comes through here pretty often, called Flicker//Fade. Definitely check that out at least if you can! I dont go out much. But this place really had the whole everyone is welcome vibe and service was great (3 stars for food because I didnt eat anything) had a couple of beers and overall liked the set up and that theres outdoor areas as well as up top on the roof where you can sit and see lousiville or Jeffersonville. Nice little hidden gem.

Incredible staff. Delicious vegan food. It was my first visit but they made me feel like a regular. There were bands playing and later Karaoke: both a great show. Even the patrons were incredibly friendly. 10/10 would recommend!
