For a quick weeknight dinner I tried out Woojeon. I ordered the Yukehjang (spicy beef noodle soup, $15.95), received my number, waited 5 minutes, and receiving order. The yukehjang proved underwhelming. The broth seemed lacking, in the same way that a home-made stock seems too light if you added too much water or didn't reduce it down enough. Otherwise, the portion size seemed reasonable, and it had potato noodles. The entree came with a bowl of rice, bean sprouts, kimchi, and roasted seaweed laver. I surprisingly liked the kimchi. It was savory and not too tangy. Overall, the food itself merits a 3*. I need to also consider that the food court charges comparable prices to that of a restaurant, which makes eating here seem only viable as an act of convenience. I'll keep it at a 3*, but
Been coming here for 10+ years. Used to love the galbi here but the quality has really gone down and they’ve been slowly decreasing the amount they give you over the years. Today was the straw the broke the camel’s back and might be the last time I come here for galbi.
Authentic Korean counter at the food court inside H mart. -Yookgaejang soup with sliced beef, scallion, glass noodles served piping hot, rich and spicy flavor $15.95 our favorite. -LA galbi , bbq shortrib $25.95 consistently good Their other snack counter oddly offers some Thai and chinese dishes , but had to try beef Kapow $12.95 stir fried chili, garlic, basil , ground beef served over rice, topped with fried egg. Quite tasty. Great for quick bite or takeout.
Met a friend at the Hmart food court. We decided to get stone bowl bibim bap from Woojean. The food is steaming hot so be careful when taking the first couple of bites. I thought the food presentation was good but it lack a bit of flavor. The rice was a bit mushy but you get the crispy burnt part at the bottom, which I enjoyed. Overall, it was a good dish, just wished it had it more meat and seasoning.
Great spot in the H Mart food court (it’s the second stall on your way in). I personally recommend the pad Thai and the basil fried rice. Both are always a home run and are rather large portioned. Service is fast and the staff is friendly. A great spot for sure.
