The Wood Ranch in Agoura Hills is hands down one of the best spots around for killer BBQ and comfort food. Their artichoke spinach dip is creamy, loaded with flavor, and comes with that perfect zesty salsa twist—it's addictive from the first bite. The baby back ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender, hand-trimmed and slathered in their original BBQ sauce that hits just right. Don't sleep on the beef ribs either; those pecan wood-smoked monsters are meaty, juicy, and full of smoky goodness. Paired with perfectly roasted broccoli that's got great char and crunch, and their rich, cheesy mac n cheese that's straight-up comfort in a bowl, it's a meal that leaves you happy and stuffed every time. Solid service, great vibes—highly recommend hitting up this location
Just casually hanging out at the Rose Parade in Pasadena, representing Allen HS. Our hotel happened to be in Agoura Hills, CA, and all I wanted after a week of indulgence was a simple salad. So, on New Year's Day, I set out in search of the perfect salad spot, only to end up here because, of course, the salad place was closed. But let me tell you, that cold beer was no joke - it was practically ice cold! And the bread, the burger... absolute fire! Gorgonzola versus barbecue sauce, applewood bacon, buttered buns - are you kidding me? Delicious. And that barbecue chop salad with tri-tips? The steak was tender and flavorful, especially with that balsamic glaze instead of ranch. Seriously, shoutout to Jesse at the bar for the awesome recommendations. What a way to kick off the new year!
Was really impressed by the atmosphere when we first walked in. It kind of felt like a throwback to a 90s restaurant, but also felt up to date. Our waitress struggled to keep up and we waited a long time to order and to get our check. Once we ordered food came out pretty quickly. The food was of good quality, but some lacked much flavor.
We really enjoy coming with the family and friends. The ribeye and the baby back ribs are delicious, drinks like strawberry lemonade or plain lemonade are too sweet for our taste but we finally decided to add more ice and the service it’s ok.
Wood Ranch, founded in 1992, set out with a clear mission: to offer high-quality food in a relaxing, welcoming atmosphere at reasonable prices. More than three decades later, it’s safe to say they delivered on that promise, and then some. From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you’re met with warm lighting, friendly staff, and a laid-back yet polished environment that invites you to stay a while. But what truly keeps people coming back is the food especially the barbecue. Their slow-roasted tri-tip, tender baby back ribs, and perfectly smoked brisket are nothing short of exceptional. Every bite bursts with rich, smoky flavor, and the generous portions ensure no one leaves hungry. The sides, too, deserve recognition from the garlic mashed potatoes to the signature peanut coleslaw, e
