Wood Ranch

This place is really good. I had the tri-tip and brisket, and the tri-tip was especially tasty. We also ordered some baby back ribs, which were excellent. For the first time, we ordered chicken tenders for the kids, and they actually enjoyed them. Our friendly server Colby was very nice and helpful. The restaurant is stroller and wheelchair accessible, making it suitable for small or large groups. There's also a bar section for those who prefer it. We spent $150 for three meals, one kids' meal, two drinks—two beers and two cocktails—this is not including tip. I recommend this place.

Second time going really good experience! Marissa was our server and she was on point. No issues with my food. And I love the rolls there they’re so garlicky buttery, soft and fluffy. The hostess was also able to get us out a table instead of a booth, which was super appreciative. Last time I got the barbecue combo which came with two meats. I realized I really like the barbecue chicken so just went with the barbecue chicken meal this time. I wasn’t able to finish it because those pieces of chicken are cooked to perfection and you are stuffed. Don’t sleep on the smash sweet potatoes either. They feel like they’re not on the menu because they’re slightly adjacent to the inside, but I would highly recommend them.

Stopped by for dinner tonight and it was delicious! First time here. I ordered the tri tip - super tender and flavorful. Peanut cole slaw - so fresh and excellent texture. Mac and cheese was rich and creamy! Very pleased with our server, Luke, who was very attentive and made great suggestions. He recommended the butter cake for dessert -- WOW! Will definitely be back.

Had a great experience as expected this past Saturday 7-26-2025. I didn’t even know there was a Wood Ranch in San Diego till I was at another business nearby and saw the sign. Maybe they should step up their marketing a bit. I’ve been to other locations many times. It happened to be perfect timing as it was just about dinner time so I decided to stop in. It was fantastic as usual. Victoria was our server who ensured we had what we needed throughout our visit. I got the WR Original Old Fashioned Americas Best BBQ Tri-Tip Sandwich w/ Loren’s Favorite Mac & Cheese My friend got the Diet Coke, Top Sirloin w/Idaho Baked Potato. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly.
