Wonder in D.C. is outstanding. It’s not just a food hall—it’s a collection of genuinely great restaurants in one place. Everything feels curated, consistent, and high quality. You get real restaurant-level food without the usual food hall chaos. Easily one of the best dining concepts in the city.
I just placed my first Wonder order. The sales associate was pleasant. The cheesesteak tasted defrosted and microwaved. The fries are all dark and overcooked. Not edible. The soda/drink required a bottle opener. I walked back to my office and realized no opener. Thumbs down on this experience. No thanks..NOT WONDERful.
Got pad Thai from here and it was so comically bad that I took one bite and had to instantly ask for a refund. The noodles were uncooked and raw and floating in this cold watery soup. It was basically raw uncooked ingredients put into a bowl, not exaggerating. Anyone who has had pad Thai know this is not remotely edible. Other food was fine, but I simply cannot recommend a place that is basically “Russian roulette” for quality.
Never made a review in my life before this place. Got an insane 50% off deal plus the low price made me shocked they were making any money at this place. I got hot and sour soup and fried rice. I went in and it was empty except for two employees talking to each other. I take it home and find a huge strip of plastic in the soup, and the fried rice is completely burned. This led me to do some research - how does this place make any money, how does it have any success? Well, it pretends to have the quality of 15 unique restaurants under its roof. What it really is, is one guy in the back who reheats one of ~100 preprepped meals. The food is garbage, the business model is basically a scam, and even if I didn't have a big strip of plastic in my soup I'd never eat here again. Don't waste your
The people who work here are really nice I have watched them get yelled at and I think they are doing their best. I wish there were more pasta options. I like the shrimp pesto pasta but it is pricey and there were 2 times I got it and started to feel a little nauseous afterwards I have not got it since. I love the fries and my son eats the mac and cheese really well. I like this concept I think the menu could be refreshed and refined
