Winstead's American Grill & King of Pizza

Hi. We are from Chicago and have lived here 7 years. We searched for a local pizzeria that could somewhat duplicate a Rosati's thin crust. It's real close and we order all the time. Their menu is delicious with burgers and such. Service is very good and the owners are nice. Place is clean and welcoming. They have a bar, but no hard liquor. Very expensive for two pizzas, 40$ for two large pizzas is ridiculous. Plus they do not wash the pans they cook them on, which leaves this really nasty burnt stuff on the bottom. The sauce is nasty.. it tastes like water when I called to order it the man was very rude and plus there was a dog hair in my food and we don’t have pets so I know it was from the restaurant. I would not eat from here it’s gross..

Ordered a Ruben and got Philly steak on rye with sauerkraut. Im honestly stunned on how that could even happen. This place has been going downhill for some time now. The food is a hit or miss and the service is lacking.

The food took a bit of time to be made but everything else was good. Staff was a bit quiet but I like quiet places so that was a plus. I got a half-dozen ‘Honey Mustard BBQ’ flavored boneless wings, and trust me they are the absolute BEST wings I’ve had in a GOOD while. I’ve never been there until now, I’m traveling for a video, but it’s a good place!

This place has went down hill fast. Use to eat here often,they had the best fish you could get around here. Last few times pizza has been cold, fish cold, fries and sides cold fish dried out, pizza sauce taste nasty, pepperoni in stromboli cold and clumped together. Dirty dishes, and hair in food. The staff are always friendly and seem to try.But at the price for a meal here and the low quantity of food it just isn't worth it anymore
