Winki’s is slapping your lips with delicious food. Maybe get you a Winki to nibble on while you drive over the pass? Maybe get you a Winki to nibble on while someone else drives you over the pass? Maybe get you a Winki and nibble on that deliciousness out in your vehicle before you drive over the pass. Maybe grab you a huckleberry milkshake to wash down that yummy burger you just nibbled down.
We've passed this place many times & finally stopped by to try it. Now I'm wondering why we waited so long. Wow, the food was awesome. The portions are giant. If you like onion rings you'll love these. The cheeseburger was fantastic. Don't do what we've done by passing by without stopping. We won't make that mistake anymore.
Winki's is everything a diner should be (and more). Drawn by the alluring energy of the classic, retro establishment, we were compelled to stop in and rest for a while within the warm embrace of simpler times, tasty burgers, and refreshing shakes. The service was top-knotch, a smile and a kind word always welcomed by travelers such as we. I enjoyed the banana shake more than I can say, each sip filling me not only with flavor and nourishment but with a strange recollection of bygone times, an alternate timeline where we did right and remained on course. I do hope to visit Winki's again some day soon, if fate allows.
This was a very pleasant surprise on our journey. I had a bacon cheeseburger and my wife had a mushroom swiss burger. Both burgers were delicious. The fries were awesome. The atmosphere was great. A nice nostalgia filled little diner. Just some small town hard working people doing it right. If I ever travel this way again, I will make it a point to stop here.
I was in the area for a couple weeks for work. I ate here a few days ago and it was pretty meh. There aren’t too many dining options in town. It wasn’t terrible last time, but it also wasn’t memorable……until today. As soon as we walked in, I saw the sweaty guy in the blue shirt (pictured) wiping his head, face, and mouth with a towel. After discarding it, he immediately went around the counter and started handling food. I worked food service for seven years, and managed a restaurant. I get it. It can get hot and intolerable at times, but this is straight up nastiness. If you’re not going to get out of public view to wipe yourself down, at least wash your flipping hands and use gloves. The food the other day was pretty basic. Definitely not worth sticking around for round two. Not after
