We had the wonderful opportunity to stay with Richard and Barbara for three days in June when we visited Starksboro for our grandson's graduation. We got lost on the way, called Richard and after getting us oriented on where we were and where we needed to be, he told us to enjoy the sunset view from the lookout on the Mad River road, and that wine, crackers and Vermont cheese would be waiting for us. The most beautiful gardens, incredibly comfortable surroundings and delightful hosts made this a place we will absolutely come back to. Barbara had taken a fall, so we didn't get to visit much with her, but greatly enjoyed our visits with Richard.
