Every time we come to Palm Springs, we carve out time to come here to have a date shake. Have sampled date shakes around town, and this is by far the best one. It is thick and has small chunks of dates, and is the perfect level of sweetness. They also have a lovely patio in the back, and perfect place to relax and drink your shake.

We went to the Windmill Market for date shakes. They shred the dates and put it into your ice cream of your choice. My husband chose the standard vanilla ice cream for his date shake. I chose butternut pecan for mine, and it was delicious! Friendly service as well. I enjoy coming here for our date shake fix.

we go back to this joint every year we come to Palm Springs. the sandwiches, tacos, and enchaladas are really good. my friend from the east says it's the best pastrami sandwich he's eaten in his life. the date shakes are why we come back. but they make great chocolate shakes as well. you have watch for the market. it's easy to drive right by. the seating is in the yard in back of the market. it's a destination.
