Windmill Cafe

Stopped in the Windmill Cafe for lunch, it’s right on the square in Pella. It’s a nice little cafe with friendly and helpful staff. They have daily specials and serve breakfast all day. I wanted to try something I haven’t tried before so I ordered the Hot Pork Tenderloin sandwich. It’s similar to a Hot Roast Beef. It has mashed potatoes, a piece of white bread with the breaded tenderloin on top, and covered in brown gravy. The food was delicious and the prices are very reasonable for the quantity and quality of food you get. Will definitely be back to try the breakfast menu.

Food was not great but for the price it was good enough. Service was extremely fast. The place is dated but it has that small town dinner vibe which I don’t mind.

This place is always a treat for breakfast! The servers are super friendly, and they have a fantastic selection of options. Plus, they’re open early on weekdays and even open at 8 on Sundays! You absolutely have to check it out!

We had a really nice experience at this place 😊 The service was excellent, and the dining area looked clean, stylish, and very inviting. It’s definitely a comfortable spot to sit down and enjoy a meal 🍽️ The food was overall quite good. The burger with fries was especially tasty — juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right 🍔🍟 The Philly cheesesteak sandwich was also good, although it felt a little bit dry. One small downside was the coffee, which didn’t taste the best, but the staff were very attentive and quickly refilled it without any delay ☕ Overall, the friendly service and pleasant atmosphere made the visit enjoyable, and I would happily come back again 👍

At the Windmill Cafe, I ordered the Hot Roast Beef sandwich. It was a delicious blast from the past. I used to have a similar dish at my aunt and uncle's cafe a half century ago. My meal was so good that I started eating before I thought to take a photo.
