Wilson County Adult Learning Center

I will forever be grateful for The Adult Learning Center here in Wilson County. Fourteen years after I should have graduated, I finally passed my last HiSET exam last Friday and I can’t even put into words what that moment meant to me. This place has been more than a school. It’s been a second chance, a safe space, and a reminder that it’s never too late to believe in yourself. The teachers and staff here are truly special, Ms. Amy, Ms. Sandy, Ms. Tracey, and Ms. Heather have all played a part in helping me get here. Ms. Amy, especially, has been the best teacher I’ve ever had. She believed in me on the days I didn’t believe in myself, pushed me, encouraged me, and made me feel capable again.
