This place is legit. We ordered the pulled pork & brisket sandwich w/coleslaw & a 3-meat platter (ribs, brisket, chicken) w/green beans & Mac. Everything were so delicious & smoky. Appreciated the 4 sauces: gold, sweet, spicy, hickory. Try them all, each one was unique. Portions were more than adequate. Total was $35.36 before tips & 2 waters. One of the best BBQ joints I've been to in the country. Ribs were definitely top shelf ribs. Johnny is manager & definitely Pitmaster.He will also take good care of u - great customer service - thanks Johnny. Smoked just right, nice tasty bark on outside, but not chewy. Tender & great moisture on the rib meat = done to perfection! I was just at Pig Fest as a BBQJudge with 50 teams competing & these ribs would have been my top pick.Brisket was again smoked perfectly, nice smoke ring, blackened on outside and moist & tender - as good as the best TX brisket I've had. Sides were top notch, green beans, cole slaw, Mac & cheese - yum!And what a great name Willy Jewels - y'all got the best ribs in Augusta, no doubt.

Didn’t realize it was a chain until just now but didn’t affect the taste obviously. Overall: B Brisket: A- -Good bark and flavor. -Tad bit dry but otherwise no complaints -Best thing I had Pork: B -A little dry, a little bland but that’s probably because there was no bark in my pork plate. -Mixed in with sides, it was a good bite. Mac & Cheese: C -Reminds me of frozen Stoufer’s and sometimes that’s just good enough. Brunswick Stew: D -More like a loaded vegetable soup but with less flavor. Did not finish. Sausage: C -Bland, and was soft like it had been boiled instead of grilled/smoked. Greens: A- Nana puddin’: B+ Sauces: A -Served warm! -Hickory (surprisingly) and the Hot one were my favorites. Pricing: A, for BBQ Service: A; friendly staff and order was 100% correct.

Subject: Extremely Disappointing Order – Augusta Location (Grubhub) I placed a dinner order this evening from your Augusta location through Grubhub. The order included: Two-meat option (beef with hickory sauce, pork with sassy sauce) Coleslaw Baked beans Six wings with sassy sauce Blue cheese dressing The order arrived in approximately 35–40 minutes, which was acceptable. However, when I opened the bag, several items were missing and the food quality was unacceptable. There were: No utensils No napkins No blue cheese dressing No hickory sauce Additionally, the meats were cold, the baked beans were barely warm, and the coleslaw was not at an appropriate chilled temperature. When I called the restaurant to report the issue, the person who answered stated, “I didn’t bag your ord

Decided to try out Willie Jewell’s as our Memorial Day solution. Ordered a whole barbecue chicken, half rack of ribs, as well as beef brisket (eaten up before pictured). Of the 3 meats, the brisket was the star of the show; smoky, juicy, with fatty and tender bites and was delicious on its own without sauce. In second place was the barbecue chicken, which was also juicy and tender. The ribs were the most disappointing as it was the meat I was most looking forward to, but it ended up being dry and tough to eat, and needed a lot of barbecue sauce to make it palatable. The customer service was excellent and ordering was very convenient. Would come back again for the chicken and beef brisket but would skip the ribs.
