Wild Sassa Food Trailer

This was a great recommendation from our tour captain. Good food and a fun host! We had fun chatting and joking. But be warned, they only have so much of their menu items per day so don’t go too late or you might miss out on what you want. The second choice is probably going to be just as good anyways, so it’s not much of an issue

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Wild Sassa today! It was the last weekend to get the stone crab chowder and I am so happy we didn’t miss it! It was loaded with crab in a creamy, flavorful base. The wild shrimp tacos were served in grilled flour tortillas and came with a delicious fresh mango salsa topping. We will definitely be return customers!

The seared ahi tuna tacos were delicious! There was a short line when we arrived for lunch on a weekday, and we got our food in about ten minutes. We enjoyed checking out a heron that was wandering around too. Would definitely return and try something else!

Five stars does not do it justice, best shrimp and tuna tacos I have ever had. Seriously cannot go wrong, just flat out delicious with great atmosphere! Just wish the hours longer and more consistent day to day.

We loved this place so much, we ate here twice during our week's vacation to Homosassa. The "shrimpy" is so good! The ladies running this place are wonderful and you might have to wait a minute, but that's because it's real food and they are putting it together so well. Gluten free options! That was hard for me to find in the area, so I was happy to find this. But my family isn't gluten free and they loved the quesadillas, crab chowder and tacos. I had a basket both times and it's so filling and fresh. They put fresh fruit with each meal. I cannot recommend this place enough! Plus, you get to sit by the river, watching the boats and we were visited by ducks and ibises and pelicans.
