This was our first visit. The interior is cute and it was decorated with a pretty Christmas tree. We had lunch. Only one server at a time appeared. I had mini chimis , which were okay. They were on a bowl which made them hard to cut, the way I preferred to eat them. Also the bowl was small so it was hard to scoop the fixings without pushing stuff out of the bowl. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich. He liked the taste except it was dry. The fries were overdone. The sodas were large so it was nice not having to ask for refills. All in all it was okay.
Wandered in here on thanksgiving when I was passing through town. They were the only place open that was serving food. Staff was friendly. I didn’t realize they had a set meal for everyone who came in for thanksgiving but it was good and I enjoyed it. When I was leaving, I noticed there was a sign on the menu board on the side but not on the front door. They apparently do it every year and people make reservations but they also accept walk ins, as long as they have food available.
I love it here... I will be coming back for more. The hotel, the bar and the restaurant are all connected. And at night, when they turn on their patio lights it sets the atmosphere perfectly. There's little shops to go into. And a great breakfast place just a 200 yard walk... Have a walk through the hotel lobby and check out the amazing vintage custom furniture. Check out the history of this great little treasure...
The staff was annoyed we were there. Our server barely even said a word to us, or to any other customer in the place except for the poor elderly lady sitting behids us that she argued with and made feel like an inconvenience. The food was bland, cold and unseasoned. The fries tasted as if they had been reheated. Nobody checked if we needed refills. The only time I received eye contact and a smile was when they wanted my money. No tip from me.
Warm and welcoming interior and staff. The menu was surprisingly accommodating- I was thrilled to see an extremely healthy option for a vegan salad- spinach, chard, and so on, with avocado, vegetables and an excellent vinegrette. One friend ordered a cheeseburger with fries, and she said it was excellent, and the third friend had a vegetarian sandwich, saying that it was delicious. Reasonably priced too. A definite stopping place for any future trips to Patagonia!
