Wickham Memorial Library

Cute, little library with small collection but current books. It’s nice to have a library within walking distance. They also have meeting rooms.

This is the tour of the newly renovated / expanded Wickham Memorial Library in East Hartford, CT Located at Burnside Ave., That building opened in 1940 as a library. That building hadn't been occupied as a library for the last 5+ years. The library had a grand reopening to the public on Monday May 8. This library primarily serves patrons in neighborhoods where there's access to books at this library. As of now, there's no patron access to upstairs at this time but as more volumes will eventually be added to the collection, there will be more books upstairs and I think there will be children's room up in that level in the future. For now, there's a limited selection of materials from every subject, movies and children's books.

Definitely the place to go to especially if you want to study. I go there once a week with my kids so I can study and this is certainly where I get most of my school work done.

Great place to study and develope writing and reading skills and staff very helpful too. A gem on burnside ave for sure. I live just off burnside on elmer and can say again what a gem of a library on burnside Ave

Great little neighborhood library. It's sad that they have shortened the hours and limited the access to this charming gem.
