White Point Take-Out

Stopped by on a whim, and had a truly enjoyable experience! Great selection on their menu and food was hot and tasty. Highly recommend the crab cake sandwich. It was well seasoned and tastes like crab meat the way it’s supposed to! Like most drive-ins, you’re gonna want to double check your lids before you take off, and unfortunately the sweet tea was a bit watery which is surprising for any stop down east. Everything else more than made up for it, though. Tartar sauce was great, and they have FRIED PICKLES🥰

We were staying in a rental and wanted some local caught seafood for dinner. White Point was still open and we headed that way. 4 adults and 3 kids all arrived within 30 minutes of closing time. The boat that caught all our food was just pulling away, so this was as fresh as fresh could be. The adults all ended up with fresh caught and calabash-style fried seafood while the kids got normal kid food. It was about $100 to feed us all. The flavors were awesome. The staff stayed beyond their closing time to get us all served. There was outdoor seating, which was awesome on a nice 80° day, but probably rough on a hotter day. Definitely recommend if you're a short drive away!

Nice stop on the way to the OBX Ferry. Very affordable prices for lunches!! Decent burgers for like $4-$5 bucks. Got some crinkle cut fries too for like $2.90 for a little basket of fries (maybe 20-30 fries?) I dunno but it is a legit stop and they have a nice selection and it’s pretty much an 11:00 AM -6:00 PM kinda place for short order foods and there is lots of nice SHADE TREES around and some picnic tables. TAKE OUT ONLY/ TO GO ONLY But you can sit outside on there patio/porch I guess? Or there were some outside wooden picnic tables in the shade @ 3:05 PM Saturday 05 APR 2025. Ferry is $15 per car or truck too FYI and I just seen a tour bus on one?!? And I seen a beer truck semi commercial tractor/trailer, motorcycles, bicycles, walkers, what ever you got they float it out to Ocracok

Portion sizes were a little bit smaller than I expected relative to the pricing but given its location I can understand why it is a little pricier. The cheeseburger was just okay but the onion rings were outstanding! Admittedly, I probably should have taken a little bit more time to look over the menu that was posted outside of the ordering window. There are some other pictures of the menu online that was a little bit different from what is posted at the physical location. That is no fault of the owner of the business and as I said I should have taken more time to look over the menu that they have posted on the building and that is on me.

What a pleasant surprise and find. Food and service……. outstanding. If you’re headed to Cedar Island Ferry or just out on a sunny drive, put this place in your GPS. You won’t be disappointed!!
