WHINO is a really cool small plates restaurant and art gallery combo on the second floor of Ballston Quarter. When you walk in, you'll notice contemporary art and paintings hanging throughout the space. It's worth taking a moment to check them out. The whole place has dim black lighting with warm accents, so it's got a really inviting atmosphere. It does get busy so expect to zigzag through the crowd to get to your seat. The menu is small plates style, so the move is to order a bunch of different dishes and share everything around the table. The bites are small and not messy, so you can eat and talk comfortably. In addition to hosting my 40th birthday here last year- I recently hosted a Galentines dinner. Shoutout to Jenn Steadman and her team for making this a great experience. They accommodated my party and we had a blast! Whino is the place to be whether it is date night or having a big party!

The event venue is super unique and the food is wonderful, full of style and flavor. The dishes are globally inspired and I tell you it's hard to find a place like this here . A great option for those looking to host an event or just have a good time w good food/drinks here in Arlington. p.s.: I'm a local fan.

We found the location in search of an engagement party venue. Came by in November to try it out before deciding and instantly loved the atmosphere and the cocktails. We just hosted our engagement party this past weekend and we are so happy we chose Whino as our venue! The vibe was perfect, the event coordinator and general manager were very helpful and easy to work with in planning the event, catering/drink options are so flexible and delicious options. Our guests cleared every tray and raved about the food. The option for drink tickets was excellent and not offered by many other venues. Service during the event was excellent as well. And the setting gave us the unique experience we were looking for since we like art!

My friend and I recently went here for her bday. What a fun atmosphere as I love art, and been wanting to taste their menu items. We went during happy hour, and the food was absolutely excellent! I am not a fan of oysters, but oh my their sauce was so delicious that I ordered more! Everything we ordered other than the vegetable chips were tasty! Customer service was impressive! Would recommend this place and look forward to our next visit to savor different menu items.
