At Sweet Briar College for an archery tournament and was looking for food found this little slice of heaven and let me tell you the food does not disappoint. The rolls are just like my grandmothers and those my friend are hard to find! Every thing was delicious the country ham and egg sandwich and the breakfast plate were killer! The cookies are soft and the pastries are delectable definitely give this place a try! Awesome food with even better people around it 10-10!
Decided to drop in and I'm very glad I did! Staff were INCREDIBLY kind and welcoming! The pastries were the best I've had in years! The homemade care really shines through and I was blown away with how tasty they were! Got an Italian sandwich and expected something like you'd get at subway but no, it was sooo tasty! The bread was perfect and every piece of the sandwich contributed something special. Quality deserves respect! Its places like this that truly elevate our community and bring joy to so many! I would definitely give it a try! The name fits the place perfectly
I graduated in Amherst and spent a lot of town out that way when I graduated but I hardly ever go to Amherst, but was so glad I did this day! We came in and was greeted by Gilbert and Harry! It was a line of people and majority was trying to order chicken salad to go (which was amazing by the way) We sat down and ate an Italian sub and my client got himself an Chicken salad sandwich and mymymymy. We ordered a Lemon Filled Danish, Cherry Filled, Fritters, and a few doughnuts to go.
Such a cozy bakery that offers more than just baked goods! They have sandwiches and a breakfast buffet which was so cute. And Gilbert was very hospitable and kind. He gave me my muffin on the house, and added two extra baked goods. He wouldn’t let me pay even when I insisted. A great place you should absolutely try if you’re in Amherst :)
Always great service and desserts! Mr Gilbert is pleasant and offers customers a genuine experience. The donuts and cinnamon rolls are delicious.
