Customer Reviews
The acoustics of this library makes it so when anyone talks it 's like a megaphone to everyone in the building. If you need some quiet study time this is not the place to go. Rockaway Township is much better for actual quiet time.
We love this library! They have so many fun activities for kids, especially through the summer.. open bead play, sticker activities, bingo, slime making, scavenger hunt just to name a few.. I love that they have a basement where majority of their children activities are held, that way the kids can ‘be kids’ and you don’t feel guilty for them getting a little loud in the regular library space. Can’t say enough great things about the staff!
The library is the best library! They have fun activities to do for all ages and the staffs and workers are nice to kids! The books are amazing and tons of computers to use on which is the best in my opinion. They also have a kids area with iPads, coloring table,Legos and more! They have a upstairs place where you can do stuff quietly and more books! They also have some artwork from the school called Duffy v elementary school.well sometimes. If you don't know where the fun activities lead to, it will be in the community room. This place is the best library and rocks. Keep getting the good work for us.
Kind staff; everyone is friendly and helpful. I'm there often to use the photo copier and they helped me make my copies/scans without hesitation. It is also a great place to get some quiet and study/do school work.
The Wharton Public Library is exactly what a library should be. . .a valuable resource for children as well as adults. While not as large as some neighboring libraries, the WPL has a good collection of books, DVDs, and yes, plenty of Blu-ray disks. And a large public computer section and WiFi for those who bring their own. There are many activities for children and adults, including guest speakers and holiday celebrations. And did I mention the staff? They've very informed and always eager to help. If you're a resident, visit the library. If you're new to the area, step on inside. And if you're just passing through stop in for a friendly welcome. Disclaimer: I don't work for the library. My opinions are my own and heartfelt.
