West Hernando Branch Library

I have loved libraries since I was about 5 years old. This is a very user friendly library with plenty of of reading and study area in various parts of the library. Excellent selection of newspapers and other periodicals. The only down side is it is barely visible from the street. I served on a Ohio public library board for 13 years so recognize a well set up and run library

Everyone is just so polite, friendly, kind, helpful, and nice at this location. Our Hernando county librarians are the best! Thank you for everything that y'all do!!

I wanted to shout out the staff who worked on 9/16/25 around 2/3pm. Marina & another very sweet coworker of hers went above and beyond.

Been going here for years, it's clean, quiet and enjoyable and has a vast variety of books to choose from. As well, they have computers that you can use for up to 2 sessions a day, if you're a cardholder, or you can get a guest pass and use the computers. Also, for a simple $0.10 per sheet you can print out information, pictures, word searches or whatever it is that your heart desires. They have free WiFi and a few outside benches as well for the nature lovers. Definitely give this library a visit if literacy and education is your cup of tea!

Very helpful and pleasant staff! Peaceful and quiet place to wander thru the books and sit and read if you choose. Great for children too in the children's area. They have games (table top checkers that my grandsons love) as well as other games and so many books for them to explore! My grandsons love going here!
