Weaf - West African Food

Terrible is all i could say. Will never order from here again. We gota few items including a beef/goat meal. There were only 2 pieces of meat and both literally fit in a plastic spoon like a tea spoon of medicine. That's how small they both were. Although I ate them, we threw away all the food within 10 minutes of opening the containers. See the images below. Don't do it!!! DONT ORDER FROM THAT PLACE. THEY HAVE NO PRIDE IN THE PLACE THEY REPRESENT.

This place would be more aptly named West African INSPIRED Food as calling it West African Food is false advertisement. Note how all the 5star reviews are from those not authentically african. The real ones know. Went because I was craving west african food. Left because even for ordinary food, it was lacking. The first time I went there was a Hispanic man and I was taken aback because authentic african food must always have an authentic african preparing it. I asked for the owner and was told he's not there then but would be back later. I came back a different day several weeks later, same story. I now figure the Hispanic man owns the joint with the story that an african man owns it because he understand the cultural appropriation of it all. It is not cultural appreciation because he d

The food was good and owner was really nice. We got the Jollof meal, the Mafé meal, and the Degue for dessert. The chicken in both meals was perfectly cooked. The degue was a sweet yogurt with grains. We really enjoyed the mafe, we'll definitely get it again next time we go

This place doesn’t get enough credit for how amazing it is!! Amazing choices to choose from and such sweet staff. The owner is absolutely awesome and such a good person as well. I definitely recommend if youre looking to add some flavor to your takeout.

Forgot our order. There is no Egusi because they said people complained it doesn't taste the same back home. Fufu is 12 dollar per serving which is ridiculous price because a quarter of it was crusted.
