Wauconda Area Public Library

This is not our main library but we heard there was an amazing park inside for kid 2yr - 10yrs where they can play so wanted to check it out. As soon as we walked the librarian said hi and welcomed us. We signed up for their event to connect with other librarians.( Please see their website for details.) we got to go down and a huge transformation of kids reading and playing area. It was clean and bathrooms were open and clean for both parents/guardians to use. Before I forget, outside was musicals tools kids and play with as well.

Wonderful place to bring your toddler! We loved the big plane structure and the giant "Lite Brite" board. The books are were super organized and everything was nice & clean!

The best children's library I have ever seen. Huge with not only toms if books but games and other activities too.

Today I was told my 18 month old baby couldn't go play in the children are due to only having socks and no shoes. I came in the lady at thr front said does he have shoes, I said no just socks. She then said okay the will probably turn you around. I saw her calling. As soon as I got off the elevator a lady stopped me and said your baby can't be in here with no shoes. I said I will hold him I'm just grabbing a couple books. She said no he can't be in here at all.. absolutely ridiculous. So I gave the baby to my husband so they can sit in the car while I check out books, only to see 2 babies crawling on the floor with just socks on, and a toddler running around with shoes off.
